Fire and Rescue NSW Kitchen Fire Safety Training

The Fire and Rescue NSW team had an out dated training DVD with which to teach each of their new staff recruits on how to conduct a safe Kitchen Fire Safety demonstration.

Bake helped update the training material into a fresh new, digital format that could be shared via email.

The team spent the day filming on location at St Andrews fire station, getting to eat lunch with the fire crews.

Bake worked closely on the planning, logistics, crewing, location filming all the way through to post production editing including some pick up audio and video shots to complete the brief.

Pre-production

Fire and Rescue NSW approached Bake to modernise their outdated kitchen fire safety training DVD. We worked closely with their internal training team to develop a refreshed content structure that was both visually engaging and easily shareable in digital formats. Pre-production included location planning, scripting assistance, and coordination with station staff to ensure a smooth shoot day.

Solution

Filming took place at St Andrews fire station, where our crew worked on-site to capture demonstration sequences and training dialogue. The day included a close collaboration with fire officers to ensure every step of the safety demonstration was accurately presented. We managed all production elements — from lighting, audio, and multi-camera coverage to a relaxed crew lunch with the team. Post-production involved additional pickup shots and audio to ensure full clarity and consistency across the training module. The final result was a streamlined digital video resource ready for email distribution and internal use.
