Right This Minute Santa Slip and Slide

Viral terrestrial broadcast channel Right This Minute from the United States picked up an syndicated our original Aussie Summer, Santa Slip and Slide Video.

The Bake team developed the viral video idea as a counter to the ‘white Christmas’ videos that were dominating YouTube.

Bake built out a custom 30 meter slip and slide in the Aussie bush and invited ten (10) Santa’s for a fun day out between preparing for their busy Christmas period.

The clip was picked up and syndicated across the United States of America. The clip also went viral online and was licensed by Saatchi & Saatchi Australia for an NIB Insurance national campaign, with Toyota Australia also licensing the clip for their YouTube summer takeover campaign.

01.

Pre-production

To challenge the dominance of “white Christmas” content flooding global platforms, Bake created a uniquely Aussie summer concept designed to go viral. We built a 30-metre slip and slide in the bush and coordinated a group of ten festive Santas, balancing production logistics with maximum fun. Every detail — from camera angles to costume selection — was tailored for shareability and international appeal.

Solution

On shoot day, our team executed a full-scale summer stunt production with multiple cameras, drones, and fast-paced coverage. The visual contrast of Santa suits in the heat of the Australian bush delivered instant visual impact. We edited the piece to highlight the humour, chaos, and holiday spirit, perfectly timed for seasonal viewing and social media virality. A strong focus was also placed on digital optimisation for YouTube and short-form platforms, setting it up for international syndication.

The Result

The video was syndicated nationally in the United States by Right This Minute, building on our portfolio of internationally recognised viral content. It went on to be licensed by Saatchi & Saatchi for NIB Insurance’s holiday campaign and featured in Toyota Australia’s YouTube summer takeover. A standout example of homegrown content achieving global cut-through.
